2017 Behind The Scenes

Jan 3

Wow, that was fast!  I’m sure you know the feeling.  The feeling of the impeding excitement of rest.  And then all of a sudden it’s over, a new year has started….. again.  Don’t you wish it was like summer holidays when you were in school.  Remember that feeling of total boredom, of having 6 weeks of nothing, that felt like a year?  Oh man, take me back!

2018 is shaping to be a massive year for Clint and I as we head into an exciting transition period.  There will be some changes to our business (details coming soon), new goals for the golf course (I’m determined to beat Clint this year) and exciting travel plans ahead.  As we sat down to map out the year ahead, we also took time to review our highlights and the challenges we faced in 2017.  We were blessed to have met and worked with over 25 beautiful couples, took a trip to the USA to learn from some of the worlds best photographers, renovated our home during which time I hurt my back that seriously challenged my day to day ability to function, Clint started a new job which he totally loves, we shot a wedding where we were also guests and had some of our nearest and dearest also attending, my Dad celebrated a “special” birthday, and we were lucky to be able to work with some of the best wedding vendors in Sydney who we now call our mates.  All in all, it was a physically tough but sensational year!

As we prepared the images for the 2017 review, 5 things became clearly apparent.  Clint is an over achiever when it comes to playing Where’s Wally, I have an unofficial engagement session uniform of jeans and a black jumper, both Clint and I are skilled at giving the stunned mullet face, Clint still loves dancing to Daryl Braithwaite’s “Horses”, but best of all, without a doubt, we have the best couples in the world.  Thank you to everyone who has supported our business and we look forward to growing our friendships in 2018!

Can you see my imaginary friend?  We’re going for a walk!

Who says working with animals is a challenge?

Shae from Love Storm Films – one of our all time favourites!

This is how you do it for video!

Puffed much?

This little guy shadowed me for an hour and copied everything I did with his own little Polaroid!
